HOW TO CALCULATE NUMBER OF BRICKS AND NUMBER OF CEMENT BAGS



Brick Work:
                    Quantity Of Brick Work in P/L= 383.85 cft
                    Quantity of Brick Work in S/S = 1011.75 cft



                    Total Quantity of B/W = 383.85 + 1011.75 = 1395.6 cft

                     100 cft = 1350 bricks
                     1395.6 cft = X bricks
                     By cross multiplication we have;
                     100*X= 1350*1395.6
                      X = (1350*1395.6)/100


                     X= 18840 Bricks

Now we know that, 100 cft = 1350 brick
So in 1395.6 cft there will be 18840 bricks

      Estimation of Mortar:
Mortar (1:3) in P/L
              Quantity of Mortar= 30% of Brick Work
                                                = (30/100)* 383.85 = 115.15 cft
              Sum of ratio = 1+3 = 4
Cement= (1/4)*115.15 = 28.78 cft
Volume of one cement bag = 1.25 cft
No. of cement bags = 28.78/1.25= 23 bags
Fine aggregate (Sand): (3/4)*115.15= 86.36 cft

Mortar (1:4) in S/S
Quantity of mortar= 30% of Brick Work
                                  = (30/100)*1011.75 = 303.52 cft
Sum of ratio= 1+4= 5
Cement: (1/5)*303.52 = 60.70 cft
No. of cement bags = 60.70/1.25 = 49 bags
Fine aggregate (Sand) = (4/5)*303.52 = 242.82 cft
